Rae Lyon | Operations Lead

Rae Lyon is an energetic, compassionate, athletic woman with an innate need to stay busy, play in the dirt, soak up the sunshine and contribute to the well-being of others. She received her 200-hour yoga certification in 2014 and has experience teaching hatha, vinyasa, prenatal and restorative yoga in Golden. She is trained as a birth doula and is finishing her certification as an Auyrvedic post-partum doula through the Sacred Window Center.

Rae is a writer, editor, project manager and fundraiser. She has a master's of public health from Portland State University and a bachelor's of science in environmental studies from the University of Vermont.

Most importantly, Rae is a dedicated and loving spouse and mama to beautiful boys ages 1 and 3. Life is busy and Rae likes it that way and is elated to be kick-starting The Family Co-Op with the most amazing partners.

Miranda Sherman | Programs Lead

My name is Miranda. I am a very passionate, optimistic and most likely ready to dance at any moment. I love community, breath and deeply believe in the power of connection and compassion. I love eclectic coffee mugs and books.

I have a passion for mindfulness, yoga, children, prenatal/postnatal care and pelvic health.  I received my 200-hour yoga certification in 2016 and continued on with trainings to become certified in teaching kid, restorative and pre/postnatal yoga. Although I believe in the value of movement, I mainly focus on the rest and reset part of self and is the cornerstone of all of my teachings.

I am a prepartum and postpartum doula and pelvic health educator. I believe in creating a safe space for learning, laughing and exploring the feminine self.  I have held the dream to create a space of compassion, education and community for years. I am over the moon excited to be a founding mother of the Family Co-Op alongside two (amazing) mamas.

I am partner to my incredibly supportive husband and a mama to an adorable little girl and 3 wacky fur babies. I live in Golden, Colorado.

Caitlyn Georger | Communications Lead

I am proud to work alongside Rae and Miranda in creating the The Family Co-Op as our Communications Lead. A mother of two boys and wife living in Golden, Colorado, I look forward to provide prenatal, postpartum and family support to our community. As a working mother myself, I am specifically driven to help mothers thrive (see: kicka$$) in the workplace - postpartum and beyond.

A recent sufferer of postpartum mood disorder, I believe that speaking about symptoms in a safe place can help mothers coping with anxiety and depression thrive. I look forward to helping other parents find their community and support them through such an important transition period, especially professionally. Experienced in developing and nurturing companies in the seed stage, I am happiest creating relationships in the community, planning events and exploring the mountains with my family.

I am originally from Boston (go Red Sox!), and am a graduate of the University of Vermont (go Cats, go!) and Sotheby's Institute of Art, London.
